McCain Ready to Use The Force Against Obama

McCain Will use the ForceIf Barack Obama was upset about the “Cult of Celebrity” ad that McCain’s folks put out, and the “Moses Ad” that followed, they might get really upset by what McCain’s camp has up their sleeves. I can’t say I have any inside info about what the Arizona Senator and his media folks have coming, but ABC’s Political Radar gives us a clue:

“We’ll continue to have humor in our campaigns,” McCain said. “Those ads really were focused on two things. They were focused on the fact that Sen. Obama wants to raise taxes, and I’m opposed of it. And he opposes an energy policy which would work, including offshore drilling. So the message there is there’re stark differences between myself and Sen. Obama.”

But McCain wasn’t done joking, either.

“I kind of enjoy ‘em,” McCain said of the ads. “You gotta have a sense of humor in this.

“You know, a few days ago, Sen. Obama said he challenged me to a duel,” McCain said. “I’m for light sabers as the weapons of choice.”

Obama-Wan Kenobi? I’m sure the left will try to say McCain is the Emperor but I’m thinking more like Yoda (ya, he’s old, we get it). If McCain’s campaign can put together a Star Wars parody ad, they just might corner the vote of a certain segment of the population. I’m sure Obama’s campaign will refuse to “Suck it Up”, so pretty soon, McCain’s campaign should ask a big pop culture question: “Why so serious?”

  1. We’re ready! I loved this past week.

  2. This is exactly the approach mccain should be taking. Too often republicans take the looniest ideas of the left seriously, or ignore them-instead they should make fun of them. Not in a nasty or negative way instead in a”can you believe this?” the emperor-has-no-clothes kinda way. The left can NOT stand it when people call them out on their silly positions and poses with humor.

  4. I heart John McCain. His humor since the SNL skit where he claimed the desire of the populace for an “old” candidate is refreshing from The Empty Suit’s very serious, PC nature.

  5. I’ve got a lot of respect for people that can poke fun at themselves as well, regarding stereotypes other people attach to them. I think even Bush could have helped his own image a bit if he had displayed a little more humor…beleive it or not he can be good at it, especially when he jokes about himself.

I personally suggest McCain make as many appearances as possible on things like SNL, Mad TV, The Daly Show, Colbert, etc….
