Well That Didn’t Take Long…

President-Elect Obama is already installing himself in the government, sort of, establishing a new government website called change.gov. How original. A righteously indignant Ed Morrissey has broken down the problems with it, including the fact that government domains are supposed to be for “qualified government organizations and programs”, of which I believe the phony “Office of the President-Elect” is neither. Ed’s biggest problem is this:

President-Elect Obama has no business using a government website to collect information on people, even if it is to “share their stories.” I’m sure they’ll play it off as an innocent way for Obama to respond to their inspiring stories, but they’re also collecting e-mail addresses at the top of each page. Justin collects email addresses every time someone leaves a comment here. I guess we’re just supposed to ignore his flaming hypocrisy — again.
